Greetings from Immanuel Lutheran Preschool,
We started our 5-day program immediately following Christmas break, it has been wonderful. The extra days have given us more time to focus on Jesus, cooperating with one another, and having fun while learning!
When you hear a preschool child say something you’ve been trying to get them to remember it’s a moment of, “WOW, they do get it, preschool is making a difference in their lives.” During circle time we recite our memory verse that has been assigned for the week. Well, one day I asked the children a question, “Why do we memorize verses from the Bible?” One of my preschoolers was quick to reply, “We hide it in our hearts!” Can I just say I was astonished and so pleased.
Children are always listening and soaking up the world around them, we as a church community need to make sure we are pouring into the children of the church, preschool, and our community whenever we can.
“And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.” — Matthew 18:1-5
