Hello,

It’s a daily goal of mine to wake up early before my children, and the dog, and read my Bible.  Don’t get me wrong this is sometimes hard to do, and I don’t always get around to it.  Recently I came across a verse Matthew 5:16 “…let your light shine before men…”  One of the preschool classes favorite songs is “This little light of mine” by Listener Kids.  We pass out flashlights, turn the lights off, and the kids sing and shine their lights around the classroom.  The song has us clap, jump, run, and shout, all the kids shout “JESUS.” 

This song reminds me so much of why the preschool is so important.  There are many children in our program that don’t go to church when these kiddos graduate from our program and continue on in their education the one thing that’s most important that they take with them, besides being ready for kindergarten, is a love for our heavenly Father.  My hope and prayer are that wherever they end up after our program that they “let [their] lights shine before men…” and continue to love him.
