Another preschool year has come to a close; I am excited for Immanuel Lutheran’s preschool graduates and all that God has planned for their futures.

Our motto for this year’s graduation is “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!”  Doesn’t this perfectly sum up what we all pray and hope for our children, for God to guide them and help them on their journey through this life?

It’s my hope for every one of these graduating preschoolers that they continue to put God first and always lean on him and not their understanding of things.  In the world today there are many things that we can question, but God wants us to:

and lean not on your own understanding;”

It’s a daily goal of mine to wake up early before my children, and the dog, and read my Bible.  Don’t get me wrong this is sometimes hard to do, and I don’t always get around to it.  Recently I came across a verse Matthew 5:16 “…let your light shine before men…”  One of the preschool classes favorite songs is “This little light of mine” by Listener Kids.  We pass out flashlights, turn the lights off, and the kids sing and shine their lights around the classroom.  The song has us clap, jump, run, and shout, all the kids shout “JESUS.” 

This song reminds me so much of why the preschool is so important.  There are many children in our program that don’t go to church when these kiddos graduate from our program and continue on in their education the one thing that’s most important that they take with them, besides being ready for kindergarten, is a love for our heavenly Father.  My hope and prayer are that wherever they end up after our program that they “let [their] lights shine before men…” and continue to love him.

Registration Form 2017-2018

Our April was filled with all things new:

 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.

Together we discovered how frogs grow and watched as five caterpillars metamorphosed into butterflies.  Children learn by doing and what an exciting way to learn by seeing the different stages of the butterfly life cycle up close and personal.

Graduation is right around the corner, May 24^th to be exact, for many of our preschool children and soon a new bunch of children will be entering our church preschool.  It’s truly a time of mixed emotions for me.  I am excited to get started on preparations for next year, but at the same time sad to say goodbye to many of the children, several of whom I’ve had for two years.  However, I am joyful because I know God is in control and as these children move on to elementary school He will be with them and their families every step of the way:
